Christopher Esk: Christopher is an assistant professor in the Institute of Molecular Biology at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Christopher studied Biochemistry in Hannover, Germany and performed his graduate studies in Frances Brodsky’s lab at the University of California, San Francisco. He moved to a postdoctoral position in Jürgen Knoblich’s lab at the Institute of Molecular Biology in Vienna, Austria before joining the University of Innsbruck in 2021.
Beatriz Lopez-Amo Calvo: Bea is a graduate student in the Esk lab at the University of Innsbruck and a member of the AGE-REG PhD programme. Bea holds a BSc in Biotechnology from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a MSc in Regenerative Medicine and Technology Master studies at Utrecht University. Bea is interested in tissue-mediated growth control mechanisms in brain organoids.
Sara Campagnol: Sara is a graduate student in the Esk and Edenhofer labs at the University of Innsbruck. Sara holds a MSc in Biomedical Life Sciences and joined the lab after an Erasmus research stay at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience. Sara is interested modelling patient vaiants in ion channels in brain organoids.
Lara Harringer: Lara is a recent MSc student in the Esk lab at the University of Innsbruck finalizing her results. Lara was enrolled in the MSc program Biomedical Life Sciences at the University of Innsbruck. Previously, she finished her BSc studies in biology at the University of Innsbruck. Lara is interested in mechanisms of tissue replenishment during brain development.
Verena Roth: Verena is a MSc student in the Esk lab at the University of Innsbruck. Verena is enrolled in the MSc program Biomedical Life Sciences at the University of Innsbruck. Previously, she finished her BSc studies in biology at the University of Innsbruck and performed labrotations in the Esk lab and an Erasmus laboration in Trieste. Verena is interested in modelling brain aging.
Carolin Becker: Carolin is a MSc student in the Esk lab at the University of Innsbruck. Carolin is enrolled in MedUni Innsbruck's MSc program Molecular Medicine. Carolin is interested prime editing patient variations in iPSCs and probing ion channel functions in brain organoids.
Joyce Greisch: Joyce is a MSc student in the Esk lab at the University of Innsbruck. Joyce is enrolled in the MSc program Biomedical Life Sciences at the University of Innsbruck. Previously, she finished her BSc studies in biology at the University of Innsbruck. Joyce is interested in modelling tissue growth compensation in brain development.
Vincent Lichtenegger: Vincent is a BSc student in the Esk lab at the University of Innsbruck. He is enrolled in the BSc program on biology at the University of Innsbruck. Vincent is interested in bioinformatic analyses of aged brain tissue.
